Ingredients:
- 4-5 Center cup pork chops
- 2 ½ cups apple compote (or other pie filling recipe) made from reconstituted apples (if using canned apple pie filling, add ½ cup brown sugar)
- 1 box stovetop stuffing mix (cornbread or regular)
Directions:
- Brown chops and season with salt and pepper.
- Place chops in baking dish.
- Spoon pie filling over chops (reserving a small amount of pie filling mixture to top each prepared pork chop.)
- Prepare stuffing as directed on box.
- Place approximately 1/3 cup stuffing on top of each chop.
- Bake uncovered @ 375 degrees for about 1 hour.
