2014 Family Home Storage Center Ordering Schedule

"Food Storage Made Easy 2014"

We have been counseled to build a 3-month supply of food that is part of our normal diet. Once you have achieved your 3-month goal, gradually build a long term one year supply of basic goods that will sustain life.  This program is designed to help you acquire your food storage on a quarterly basis and ultimately achieve your one year of food storage.  Wheat will be offered each quarter as this is one staple mentioned by Prophet Ezra Taft Benson, as a grain of "the highest priority." Cooking classes will demonstrate how to prepare the food and encourage regular usage which will help to rotate your supplies. You are certainly encouraged to supplement your storage with food that is part of your normal diet and to add other items such as water, first aid, heat sources, etc.

Our Cannery is no longer a cannery.  It is a Family Home Storage Center (FHSC) where individuals and families can come and purchase all ready canned product. For a list of what is being offered and pricing, please go on to providentliving.org. The FHSC located in Fountain Valley, will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Below is the schedule of product that will be made available on a stake level in this program. The products listed for each quarter will be available to order for a one week period of time through PayPal and delivery will be made available at the Altisima Bldg.


White Wheat, Granulated Sugar, White Rice, Potato Flakes -
January 25 (Saturday) - Cooking Class 10 a.m. and ordering begins
February 02 (Sunday) -  Orders Due
February 13 (Thursday) - Pick up Orders at Altisima Bldg. 8:30 p.m.

Hard Red Wheat, White Flour, Macaroni, Apple Slices -
May 10 (Saturday) -  Cooking Class 10 a.m. and ordering begins
May 18 (Sunday) -  Orders Due
May 29 (Thursday) - Pick up Orders at Altisima Bldg. 8 p.m.

White Wheat, Pinto Beans, Nonfat Dry Milk, Fruit Drink Mix -
August 9 (Saturday) - Ordering Begins
August 17 (Sunday) - Orders Due
August 28 (Thursday) - Pick up Orders at Altisima Bldg. 8 p.m.

Hard Red Wheat, Spaghetti, Quick Oats, Cocoa Mix -
October 9 (Thursday) - Cooking Class 7 p.m. and ordering begins
October 19 (Sunday) - Orders Due
October 30 (Thursday) - Pick up Orders at Altisima Bldg. 8 p.m.
